Ash shoots out her tires with the nail gun and they crash pretty much immediately in the parking lot (lol like girl? We were feeling things were getting pretty intense here with some of those scenes and might not be able to think the same way about a certain thing used in this story without thinking about this story. This isn't an action packed type novel, its nice and slow with a build up through which in turn creates twists and turns. The book probably should come with a trial-sized supply of tranquilizers, though, to calm you down once you've finished!

No Exit introduces Darby, a college student on the stressful overnight drive in the midst of a snowstorm from Colorado to Idaho to visit her ill mother. HAIRPIN BRIDGE: Lena will do anything to find out who killed her twin sister — even if it kills her.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. While wandering around the car-park waving her phone in the air, desperate to get a signal, she sees . I did see two of the big reveals coming, but when it came to the actual action side of it I was never quite sure what to expect. No Exit opens with an ingenious, chilling setup and then delivers a wicked ride of psychological tension. The pros of this setting are obvious - we can all picture a version of Darby's setting, and therefore can mentally attempt to devise our own exit strategy in tandem with Darby's. With her phone battery waning and the conditions becoming continuously more treacherous, Darby gets off the exit at a nearby rest stop.

There are 2 main characters around whom the story revolves and how they evolve as the story goes on is a joy to read, especially Darby Thorne. Now Darby has to figure out how to free the girl, keep her safe and get them both through the night. I enjoyed so much and highly recommend to all thriller lovers who enjoy to read something different and unexpected! It begins a magnificent tale of adventure that will plunge the members of the Fellowship of the Ring into a perilous quest and set the stage for the ultimate clash between the powers of good and evil. It's been a long time since I opened a book and couldn't think of anything else, even after the book was finished.

There are a 4 people there that have obviously had the same idea and are already caffeinated, so Darby joins them and introduces herself, after all, it;s going to be a long evening. There is no cell phone reception, no telephone, no way out because of the snow, and she doesn’t know which one of the other travelers is the kidnapper. I did like that the author gave multiple point of views also because it made it easier to connect with the story and understand just how sick and twisted the villain was. Her Honda Civic is struggling to get through the snow, her phone battery's nearly dead, and she's left with no choice - she has to stop at the next rest stop and wait out the storm. One thing Adams knows how to do is have you sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to see what the hell could possibly happen next.

The connections between the characters have also been tweaked — for instance, when Jay wakes up, she identifies Sandi as her maid, not her bus driver, and it’s implied that Sandi aided in the kidnapping because Jay treated her so poorly (i. The police believe they know the killer’s identity but there’s no evidence against him, and the only thing linking him to the crime is the fact he’d been charged with sexually assaulting Helena just a few months previously. Pretty much since the moment Taylor Adams’ thriller No Exit was published in 2017, I’d heard rave reviews from every corner of the internet. This is a thriller/horror novel about a child abduction that takes place in the middle of a blizzard in Colorado.
