I liked that the cats were portrayed in a humanistic fashion with their own morals, personalities and struggles while out of the public eye with no humans around. The humanized cat forms were so Parisian that their design really helped to contribute to the overall sense of the Louvre. Curiously, he has not grown beyond being a kitten, but he possesses a mysterious power—he can hide inside the Louvre's paintings. Where do we draw the line between realities - our own, those around us and, eventually, the reality of the world as a whole? I’ve only read a few of them, but I would have to say that Cats of the Louvre is the best and most memorable of those.

The hybrid designs range from inoffensively cute (Snowbebe is the closest to your standard anime cat-boy design) to the mildly creepy (some of the hairless cats' humanized expressions will reawaken your repressed memories of the Cats movie trailer). Reading this manga superficially is such a shame, since it's depth is something we rarely come upon these days. He is seen by one of the museum guides, who along with the night guard, starts to uncover the mystery of his missing sister (who disappeared decades ago into a painting) and is helped indirectly by Snow Bebe.This graphic novel, told in manga form, takes us to the Louvre Museum in modern day Paris where we first follow an art curator who finds a cat in the museum and will later learn of how it’s connected to a family saga of anthropomorphic cats surviving through hope and art. The manga relies on this very well thought out balance between the cats and the humans, as the storytelling shares its time between the two perspectives. He gained his first success through the Comic Open contest, held by the magazine Comic Morning, which allowed him to make his professional debut.
